Hormone levels (like hCG and progesterone) are still high, so you may still feel nauseous, bloated, or moody.
Your uterus is expanding, and your waistline may start to thicken, even if you’re not visibly showing yet.
You may notice more vaginal discharge (milky white and mild-smelling—called leukorrhea).
Fatigue is common, as your body works overtime to support your growing baby.
Breast tenderness and frequent urination may continue.
What’s Happening with Baby
Your baby is now the size of a prune or kumquat (about 3–4 cm long and weighing around 4 grams).
Most of the vital organs are fully formed and starting to function.
Fingers and toes are no longer webbed, and tiny nails are beginning to form.
Facial features like the nose and ears are becoming more defined.
The baby can make small movements, though you won’t feel them yet.
What You Can Do Now
Keep taking your prenatal vitamins (especially folic acid, iron, and vitamin D).
If nausea is improving, try eating more nutritious meals and stay hydrated.
Avoid raw/undercooked meat, soft cheeses, and high-mercury fish.
Begin or continue light exercise if approved by your doctor.
You may have your first prenatal checkup or scan soon if you haven’t already.
